The WORLD CUP will begin  June 11th at Soccer City Stadium with Group A leading the pack. The teams to start the World Cup are South Africa vs. Meixco and Uruguay vs. France.  Soccer City Stadium recently received a $3millon upgrade to finalize preparations. The stadium holds a capacity of  94,700. It was built in 1989 and is home to the Kaizer Chiefs football  team. The outside of the  stadium was designed to mimic a calabash (Afrian pot).
