Granta Magazine Launch Party
The renowned literary journal celebrates its new issue, “Work,” with a reading and a party. Granta editors Patrick Ryan and Colum McCann, whose novel Let the Great World Spin just won the National Book Award, will be on hand. McCann will read his latest Granta contribution, in which he remembers his father, a newspaperman himself, telling him to never become a journalist. A book signing—and plenty of wine and cheese—follow in short order.
Most of us spend more time at work than anywhere else, but are our lives defined by the work that we do? Do our jobs reflect our passions and personality, or are they just a means to an end, a necessary evil to pay for the weekends?
