NYC Tonight | MoMA First Thursday of each month!!

MoMA stays open until 8:45 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month through June. Stop by after hours to enjoy full access to the galleries and theaters, free Gallery Talks, a cash bar, a DJ, and a special prix fixe dinner in Cafe 2.

Gallery Talks
Free with Admission
MoMA educators give engaging talks in the galleries at 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 p.m. Each 6:30 Gallery Talk will focus on design-related topics, featuring objects from MoMA’s collection and special exhibitions. Groups meet the lecturer in the Marron Atrium on the second floor. Gallery talks are approximately sixty minutes in duration. For enhanced hearing in the galleries, FM headsets and neck loops are available at the meeting spot.

Cash Bar
5:30–8:00 p.m.
Visit the cash bar for a variety of beverages, including specialty cocktails.

Music
A different DJ is featured each month.

Prix Fixe Dinner
5:00–8:00 p.m., Cafe 2 (floor 2)
In addition to the regular menu, a special prix fixe dinner created by Chef Lynn Bound is available for $30 (not including beverage or NYS sales tax and service charge). Dinner begins with an appetizer, followed by an entrée and dessert. Participation in the tasting requires the participation of the entire group; however, guests may order extra items from the regular menu if they wish. It is suggested that guests allow up to one hour to complete the full prix fixe meal. The $25 menu is not eligible for the 10% member discount. Seating is limited.

Please note: MoMA Nights will take place every Thursday in July and August, with live music groups, a cash bar, and seasonal tapas in the Sculpture Garden, weather permitting.

DJ Vatican City
Born in Peru and raised in New York, Julio (DJ Vatican City) has become a fixture of New York City’s underground house-music scene. Renowned for the diverse range of artists and styles in his sets, Julio is continuously exploring a dialogue between his two strongest musical influences: world and electronic music. Julio has performed throughout the East Coast and South America.

APPETIZER
Grilled shrimp, tangerine and shaved fennel

Beet salad, goat cheese mousse, celery, walnuts, currants

ENTREE
Braised oxtail, ragout house made gnocchi
or
Roasted organic chicken, potato puree, crispy Jerusalem artichokes

DESSERT
Warm pear and cranberry crisp, organic yogurt crème
or
Milk chocolate hazelnut tart
